Argentina 🇦🇷

BUENOS AIRES

After a 52 hour journey from Asia involving 4 flights I arrived at Milhouse Hostel where I spent the next month volunteering.

Having comfortably navigated Australia, Japan (to a degree) and the Philippines with very little language barriers Argentina was a different story! Thrown in at the deep end it was either sink or swim with learning Spanish. Muchas gracias a todo el gente qual ayudo mi con mi Espanol 🇪🇸🙏🏼 (I hope that makes sense!)

🍺
Fuck IPA was arguably my favourite beer from my entire trip. It tasted pretty good too!

Be sure to head to Palermo for the city's best restaurants. A must do for all non-vegans /vegetarians is La Cabrera 🥩. This steak resturant reduces everything on the menu by 40% following the siesta. Wait in line for the doors to open at 18:30 and enjoy T-Bones, Blue Cheese steaks and much more for a discounted price.

Another must see area within Buenos Aires is La Boca. Home to La Bombonera the ground of Club Atlético Boca Juniors  ⚽️  The pre-game street parties are worth attending on their own but do try to get hold of some tickets to fully experience the passionate, boisterous latino atmosphere 🔥

If football isn't your thing do still check out La Boca for the colourful architecture, street salsa and empanadas 🥟

EL CALAFATE

Flying into Argentinian Patagonia felt like arriving on set for Lord of the Rings only I was without rings and had no companions! Fuelled by Guanaco burgers 🦙🍔 I headed to Perito Moreno Glacier which was truly stunning. The thundering sounds of ice breaking off were spectacular 🧊
